This game was featured on Coca-Cola's site as a hook to try and catch young visitors and reel them in. The player plays the part of the famous Coca-Cola polar bear fishing from an ice flow. The player controls the fishing line (with magnet lure) to try to grab onto cans and bottles of Coke as they float by beneath the waves. Each Coke the bear reels up and puts in his cooler is worth points. The deeper down the Coke is, the more points it's worth.
Of course, there are many dangers beneath the waves. Many creatures are swimming about and if they collide with the bear's line they'll snap it. The bear only has three lines, so if he uses them all up it's "game over". The game starts out with the bear fishing in Alaska and as he completes each level, he packs up his pole, hooks a ride on a passing ship and moves to warmer and warmer climates, ultimately ending up with his family, all courtesy of animated cut scenes.
The top 10 scores were posted on the Coca-Cola site with the user's name and date, to encourage players to compete against one another.
